The victim is identified as Gervais Morneau (DOB 10/20/1948 of Villeroy, Quebec, Canada.

At 10:30 a.m., a motorcycle driven by a 73 year old man was headed east on Gandy Blvd North near the 275 exit ramp.

He had a medical episode, lost control and crashed into a Honda Civic. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

No one else was injured. The roadway was closed to traffic for several hours.

The victim's name will be released once next of kin is notified.
