At approximately 2:45 p.m., a Town and Country van traveling westbound on the Pinellas Bayway South attempted to turn south at Leeland St. South.

The van turned in front of an eastbound Toyota Tundra and they collided in the intersection.

An 83 year old woman who was a passenger in the van, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She died from her injuries several hours later.

No one else was injured. The crash is still under investigation.
