Update on 05-21-21 at 8:23 a.m.

The victim in last night's fatal pedestrian crash at the intersection of Pasadena Ave N and Pinellas Way N has been identified as Henry Pino-Fonte (DOB 05/18/1966).

Traffic homicide detectives say a 2003 Ford F150, driven by Timothy L. Brill (DOB 09/07/1965) was in the southbound curb lane of Pasadena Ave as Pino-Fonte crossed from the east to the west side of the street at Pinellas Way N. Brill did not see Pino-Fonte and struck him.

Pino-Fonte died at the scene. Brill stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.

Investigators do not believe that intoxication was a factor.

Shortly after 10 p.m. , a red pickup truck struck a pedestrian on Pasadena Ave. just north of Central Avenue. The pedestrian, an adult man, died at the scene. The driver stopped and is cooperating with officers.

Pasadena Ave. is closed southbound from 2nd Ave. North to Central Ave. for the investigation.
