Homicide Investigation

Victim: Leeza Martinez, DOB 03-12-1994. She is from Texas.

Police arrested Temidayo Ayoola, DOB 5-9-96 He is charged with 2nd degree murder. His booking photo is attached.
The victims is a 27 year old woman. We will release her name once her family is notified.
Her 18 month old daughter was not injured. DCF took custody of her.

About 1:30 PM police received a call about a shooting at 1253 8th Ave S.
A woman was taken to the hospital and died of her injuries.
A man is in custody and is being questioned. A small child who was in the home at the time was not injured.
This appears to be a domestic related incident. It is very early in the investigation and we will release further information as it becomes available.
