Today, 19-year-old Ajay Alvarez was arrested for shooting death of D’Quaz Davis. Detectives say he opened fire on Davis when he approached the car he was sitting in. After the shooting, Alvarez fled the area. He now faces a 2nd Degree Murder charge.

Paul Alexander Reaves was also arrested today and faces a Felony Murder charge. Reaves is being charged for his role in bringing the victim to the scene, while armed with a gun. He is also facing an Aggravated Assault charge. After the shooting, Reaves fled the scene.

The victim is identified as Dquaz Davis DOB 5-12-01.

At 3:49 p.m., St. Petersburg Police received a call about shots fired and a person injured in front of a home at 1227 Fargo St. South.

The victim, a man (adult), was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
