The Fire Dept. initially responded to a grass fire in a wooded area near the Rest Area just before the Skyway Bridge.

Once they put out the fire, they discovered a body and notified police at about 8p.m.

Forensic technicians will be carefully collecting the evidence throughout the night.

No new details are expected to be released tonight. I will send an update in the morning.

At 8 p.m., the Police dept responded to assist the Fire Dept with a fire near the rest area of the Skyway Bridge.

Once the fire was extinguished, a body was discovered.

Investigators have now been called in. We are still in the early stages of the investigation and have no other information to release at this time.
