The victim in the death investigation at 11590 4th St. N. has been identified as Tyler Jay Powers (DOB 11/28/1995) of St. Petersburg.

Officers were called to the 7/11 convenience store at 2:31 this morning after reports of a possible shooting. When they arrived, they found Powers deceased in the restroom.

The investigation is ongoing as they speak with witnesses and await results from the medical examiner and forensics.

SPPD is investigating a death in 11500 block of 4th St N. One adult man is deceased and detectives are speaking with witnesses.
