Around 11pm on January 23, 2021 a 2014 red Hyundai Sonata, driven by Dana G. Holtorf (DOB 02/26/1989) was going eastbound on 118th Ave. N. at a high rate of speed. Investigators believe he was going around 80 miles per hour when he crashed into a chain link fence in the 2200 block of 118th Ave, where the road dead ends. After crashing through the fence Holtorf struck a palm tree and a wooden utility pole.

He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Holtorf was transported to Bayfront Health, where he was pronounced dead. At this time, it is unknown whether or not he was impaired.
