Police arrested Darren McFarland (DOB 04/17/1966) for manslaughter after striking a 65-year-old man earlier this month.

Bruce Senesac (DOB 05/16/1957) was panhandling in the Hops and Props (335 2nd Ave NE ) bar on February 3, 2021, at 3:24 p.m.. The manager, Darren McFarland, was attempting to remove him. Witnesses say that McFarland struck Senesac, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the ground.

Police found him unresponsive and he was taken to the hospital. He never regained consciousness and died on February 9, 2021.

McFarland was arrested and charged with manslaughter today.
