Attention Morning Shows: Park, Walk and Joy Event Wednesday Morning!

Release posted on 12-07-21 at 12:32 p.m.

**All media interviews will be done outside the store.** Walmart will not allow media crews inside, so St. Petersburg Police will provide video of the shopping event from inside the store.

St. Petersburg Police officers and civilian police employees will gather at 6 a.m. at the Walmart Supercenter at 3501 34th St. South on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, to shop for needy children in the annual Park, Walk, and Joy event.

There will be earlier media availability for morning shows upon request, please let Yolanda Fernandez know by close of business today.

At 6 a.m., Walmart will open its doors to SPPD personnel, so they can shop for local kids in this year's Park, Walk and Joy event. They will spend roughly two hours gathering holiday gifts for about 200 kids.

Thanks to generous donors, this is the 4th year SPPD will provide holiday gifts to local children. The toys will be distributed in the next two weeks.

The media contacts will be Yolanda Fernandez and Ken Knight.
