Media Press Conference

At 1:30pm today the St. Petersburg Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Marshals Service held a press conference at SPPD Headquarters concerning the manhunt for suspect Benjamin "Bambi" Williams. He is wanted in the shooting death of Joana Peca which occurred on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the 200 block of 60th St. S.

Chief Anthony Holloway, ATF Assistant Special Agent in Charge Craig Kailimai and Joana's mother Eleni Peca, provided comments to the media.

Due to the resurgence in COVID infections, entry will be limited to the media only and masks are required inside the St. Petersburg Police Department Headquarters (1301 1st Ave N).

Media outlets should park along 1st Ave. North close to 13th St. N, or in parking spaces near the intersection of 13th St. N and Arlington Ave. N. The doors to the media room open at 1:00pm for members of the press only.
