Probationary Officer Terminated

St. Petersburg Police Probationary Officer Jonathan Cain was arrested by Pinellas Park Police last night for using a woman's personal information to place an online order and charging it to her credit card. The victim resides in Texas.

When Pinellas Park Police notified St. Petersburg Police that Cain was under investigation this week, he was placed on administrative leave without pay, pending the outcome of the investigation. Cain turned himself inlast night and was terminated from employment at the St. Petersburg Police Dept. last night.

Cain, age 25, was sworn in on 8/17/2020. Due to his probationary status and the arrest, he was terminated without an internal investigation and/or Board hearing.
