Fatal Shooting Investigation

The deceased victim in last night's shooting has been identified as Emily Renee Grot (DOB 11/11/1985). She was a resident of St. Petersburg and a mother of two children.

Grot, a 17-year-old girl and a man were shot in the 13th Ave. S and 26th St. S area, (near Wildwood Park) last night around 10:50pm. The man had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and the teen suffered a minor injury. Detectives are in need of any information regarding the shootings.

SPPD's Crimes Against Persons Unit has launched an investigation into a shooting in the Wildwood Park area, after three victims were dropped off at local hospitals.

One woman has died, and another victim is in currently in critical condition. A third victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

There is no additional information at this time. We plan to send an update on the shooting later this morning, when more information becomes available.
