The suspect, John F. Grant, is facing one charge of Murder in the 2nd Degree. Please find his mugshot attached.

SPPD arrested John F. Grant (DOB 08/28/1996) after a shooting at the Food Max store, located at 1400 18th Ave. S, around 3:15am this morning.

The victim, Deauntazies L. Ramsey (DOB 6/6/1994), and Grant were known to each other. During an argument Grant shot Ramsey in the Food Max parking lot. Ramsey was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he was pronounced dead.
