SPPD detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened at the Quick Stop Beer and Wine store (located at 1440 49th St. S) last night.

There was a large crowd gathered there when shots fired just before 7:45pm, on Sunday November 1, 2020. Two men were injured and transported to the hospital.

Dameion Cookinson (DOB 11/03/1985) died at the hospital and the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
