St. Petersburg Police arrested Thomas McMichael,(DOB 2-2-62) of Spring Hill, for sending sexually explicit emails and texts to a 14 -year-old girl. He also sent a photo of his private parts. The teen was really an undercover St. Petersburg Police detective. The online conversations occurred over a period of ten days.

McMichael is charged with:
- Promotion of Sexual Performance by a Child
- Transmission of Harmful Material to a Minor
- Seduction of a Child Using Internet or Electronic Device
- Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device
