Man Arrested After Soliciting Sex From A Teen Online

The St. Petersburg Police Department arrested Robert Lowell Staton II (DOB 02/27/1980) on June 17th, 2020 on four felony charges after he used his phone and car to try and have sex with a 14-year-old girl. The teenager he thought he was communicating with was actually an undercover detective.

Lowell traveled to the 4100 block of 16th Street North to meet "the girl", after sending her lewd photos of himself. He was arrested by officers when he arrived.

He is charged with Seduction of a Child Using Internet or Electronic Device, Transmission of Harmful Material to a Minor, Unlawful Use of Two-Way Communications Device and Traveling to Meet a Minor.
