Today, February 19, St. Petersburg Police arrested Derrick Newsome, DOB 9-17-71, for robbing the BB&T Bank,100 34th St. North, yesterday.

Newsome entered the bank at 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 18, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Surveillance photo attached.

At this time Newsome faces one charge of robbery, however detectives are looking into whether he may be connected to several other bank robberies in St. Petersburg since December
