Released on 12-29-20 at 8:19 p.m.

Around 6:06pm today our emergency communications center received a call from a man who falsely claimed to be near Bayfront Health and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, and made threatening statements.

After investigating, officers determined this was a hoax call. The caller was not located, and no one faced an actual threat.

SPPD takes all threats seriously and the investigation into the call, is still underway.
