Arrested: Javier L. Evans, DOB 09/19/1996

Through the investigation, detectives identified Javier Evans, as the suspect in yesterday's shooting death of Antonio Long. The two men knew each other, and Long had allowed Evans to stay at the house at 1743 Yale St. S. On December 21st, they had an altercation that led to the shooting.

Last night, at 11:27 p.m., Evans was charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

Today, at about 11:30 a.m., police responded to a call of a person shot at 1743 Yale St. S.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased adult man, inside the house at that address. The suspect fled the scene.

Police are actively investigating. No other information is available, at this time.
