St. Petersburg police are investigating a crash involving an SUV and a bicyclist.

Shortly after noon, a northbound white SUV struck a bicyclist in the 2800 block of Dr. MLK St. North.

The bicyclist died at the scene. The driver stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.

North and southbound lanes of Dr. MLK St. will remain closed between 28th - 30th Avenue North for several hours for the investigation.
