A large truck traveling on 6th Street South hit the Interstate 175 overpass and caused some concrete to fall. FDOT must check the bridge for structural integrity. Until then, the roads are closed to all traffic on the overpass and under it.

Police closed 6th Street South in both directions from 5th Avenue South to 4th Avenue South.

Also the Eastbound lanes of 175 are closed, at the 6th Street South exit.
