Sunday evening, at 6:10 p.m., a 2005 Lincoln sedan, driving westbound on 62nd Avenue North ran the red light at 1st Street North, and crashed into a 2017 Toyota pick-up truck. (The pick-up was heading northbound on 1st street North and was attempting to make a left turn onto 62nd Avenue.)

The 90-year-old man driving the Lincoln was injured and transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. He died this morning at 3:35 a.m. We aren’t releasing his name because we have not yet located next of kin.
