Arrested: Sir Richard Evans DOB 05/05/1997

Victim: Javien Newton DOB 05/07/2001

St. Petersburg Police arrested Sir (Sir is his 1st name) Richard Evans into custody for the death of Javien Newton. Evans had previously been arrested on 11/25/2019 (the date of the incident) for felon in possession of a firearm.

The victim succumbed to his wounds on 12/01/2019. Evans now faces a manslaughter charge.

Police responded to a shooting at 1819 23rd St.S. , shortly after 3p.m. today.

Investigators say (first name is Sir)Sir Richard Evans, DOB 5-5-97, accidentally shot an acquaintance, an 18 year old man.

The victim is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is in custody. This is still an active investigation.
