Update 11-05-19

Detectives are releasing video of the suspect shortly before last night’s carjacking at the laundromat in the 8100 block of 4th St. N. We are asking anyone with information to contact us immediately.

Investigators believe this suspect may be involved in a carjacking at the same location on August 26th, 2019. In that case (#2019-037318) the victim was loading laundry into his car when the suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys. The victim (in this case) was not shot.

We are asking anyone who has seen the 2nd victim’s black 2008 Ford, Mustang, or anyone with tips to call us at 727-893-7780 or send us anonymous message by texting “SPPD” and their tip to TIP-411.

St. Petersburg Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened around 11:30pm last night at a laundromat in the 8100 block of 4th St. N. A 36-year-old man was shot in the parking lot and his black 2008 Ford Mustang stolen. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
