At 5:33, police investigated a fatal crash at 110th Avenue North and MLK St. North.

The driver of a 2012 Nissan Maxima, Joseph Cavanaugh, DOB 8-1-75, and his passenger(wife), Cynthia Cavanaugh DOB 7-16-60, of Riverview, were traveling south on MLK St.

Cavanaugh turned left onto 110th Avenue North, and turned in front of an northbound Infiniti G 35, driven by Melissa Malone, DOB 6-24-88.

The Infiniti hit the passenger side of the Nissan. The Nissan went into a drainage ditch, flipped, and partially submerged.

Cynthia Cavanaugh died of her injuries. Her husband ,Joseph, and the other driver, Melissa Malone were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

There was no impairment involved for either driver. The investigation into the crash continues.
