Fatal Pedestrian Hit and Run Crash

Update: The victim had been driving the older Lincoln when it apparently broke down on MLK St. S. Investigators believe she had gotten out of the car and was in the roadway nearby, when the Infiniti hit her.


Update: Victim: Phelexis Jakara Robinson, DOB 3-15-93, of St. Petersburg.


Investigators are at the scene of a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian.

A vehicle hit a pedestrian at 34th Avenue S and MLK st. The driver fled the scene and left the car. The victim died at the scene.

Two blocks away, at 37th Avenue S. , another car crashed and it was abandoned. Investigators are trying to determine whether the two crashes are related.
