Location: 29th Avenue North / 58th Street North

On July 13, shortly before 10 p.m., a black Chongqing Astronautical Bashan motorcycle scooter, driven by Kevin Christopher Daigle (DOB 09/27/1987), was northbound on 58th St.North.

For an unknown reason, the scooter locked the brakes, drifted toward the east side of the roadway and struck a curb just south of 29th Ave. North.

Daigle was thrown to the ground and was transported to St. Petersburg General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:24 p.m.

Daigle was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was a factor in this crash.
