A group of dog owners will thank Officer Brian Origlio for his efforts to reach out to them during his “Park Walk and Talks”, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 10th, at the Lake Vista Dog Park. The entrance of the dog park is located at the corner of 62 Avenue South and 16th Street.
The group made and framed a giant thank you card for “Officer Milkbone”, as they refer to him. Officer Origlio handed out 140 lbs. of milkbone treats last year.
Park, Walk & Talk is a community policing policy that Chief Holloway initiated when he came to the St. Petersburg Police Dept. For one hour every week, officers must park their patrol cars, walk the area they patrol, and talk to residents. The goal is to build positive relationships in the community they serve.
