TComputer Theft Arrest

St. Petersburg detectives arrested a Hillsborough County man for stealing 27 computers, worth approximately $43,000, from his employer in St. Petersburg.

Roberto Garriga, DOB 8-20-83, 10329 River Beam Road, Riverview, FL, was arrested this morning and charged with Grand Theft. He was an IT technician at Omnicell, 2003 Gandy Blvd., St. Petersburg. His booking photo is attached.

Omnicell managers contacted police on December 20th to report 27 laptop computers had gone missing since the beginning of October. A manager had seen some of the computers being sold online.

Through the investigation, detectives determined an Omnicell employee, Garriga, was responsible for the theft. He was charged with grand theft.
