Woman Fires at Car, Hits 5 year old Boy Re: Marsy’s law

The victims involved in the shooting have exercised their rights under Marsy’s law and requested that their names not be released to the public.

Monday, February 11, at 5:45 p.m., Tarobia Banks and four children (ages 4 months to 7 years), drove her friend Tiera Walker to the home of Jamesha Lyneet Flanning, DOB 9-29-91, 1131 32 Street South. They were going to pick up some personal items belonging to Walker’s new girlfriend.

Flanning, the ex-girlfriend (of Walker’s new girlfriend), came out of the home and fired several times at them. Banks and Walker got back into the car and drove off. One of the bullets hit Avi Banks, a 5- year- old boy who was riding in the car. He was hit in the leg and his injury is not considered life-threatening.

Flanning was arrested and charged with six counts of attempted murder in the first degree. Flanning’s booking photo is attached.
