On December 20, at about 7:30 p.m., police responded to 4061 Porpoise Dr. S.E. and found a woman had been stabbed several times. She was transported to Bayfront Health with serious injuries.

Lonnie Lavine , DOB 9-3-55, was also there when officers arrived. He was arrested for attempted murder in the 2nd degree. Lavine was treated at St. Anthony’s hospital for minor injuries to his hand, and booked into the Pinellas Jail shortly before midnight. His booking photo is not available at the time of this release.

Lavine lived in an unattached shed behind the victim’s home on Porpoise Dr. (He and the victim were not in a relationship.) It is early in the investigation, however preliminary information is that the two argued before the stabbing.
