Back Robbery

St. Pete Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that happened in the 7100 block of 4th St N today at noon.

A man entered the BB&T Bank, implied he had a gun and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Our detectives are looking into whether this could be connected to other similar robberies committed in Pinellas County.

He is described as an African American man with a dark complexion, 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He has shoulder length dreadlocks.  Currently we don't have an image available for him.

Please note: we do not believe this is the same man as the violent suspect with a similar description currently wanted for bank robberies and carjackings throughout the Bay area with a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
