Chief Anthony Holloway will mark the four year anniversary of the Park Walk & Talk community policing model tonight.
At 6 p.m., at the Azalea Recreation Center football field, 1600 72nd Street North, Holloway, Mayor Kriseman and officers will be at the Azalea Bulldogs Youth Football practice to meet and greet the parents and players.
Park Walk & Talk requires all officers must spend one hour a week, walking neighborhoods and talking to residents to help build trust and community relationships.
Since October 1st, 2014, St. Petersburg Police Officers have been on more than 80,000 Park Walk and Talks!
Moving forward, Chief Holloway is encouraging officers to enhance Park Walk and Talks by attending community events, like the youth football practice, so they can reach out to more residents.
