The victims have been identified as Kenneth Lee Shook (W/M 05/14/1983) and Cheryl Lee Casey (W/F 12/13/1959).

This morning, at about 7:30 a.m., a woman flagged down an officer who was driving to work on 16th street about a body.

The officer discovered a man and a woman deceased in an alley off of 14th Avenue South, near 16th Street South. A pick-up truck was also found at the scene.

This is now being investigated as a double homicide. Investigators believe there are drug overtones.

St. Petersburg Police are conducting a death investigation in the alley way of 14th Ave S and 16th St. S. We received a call around 7:30am of a man and woman found deceased. More information will be released as becomes available.
