Suspect - Stevie Murph DOB 11/21/91, 1st degree Murder
The suspect and victim in this morning’s case are half-brothers.
The argument started shortly after 2a.m. at the suspect’s residence, 2843-1/2 2nd Avenue South. The fight continued outside and ended up on the porch of the house on the corner, 2864 1st Avenue South.
During the fight, Murph injured Hill. When police arrived they did CPR until St. Pete Fire paramedics arrived. He was transported but pronounced dead.
Murph fled the scene in an SUV. A few blocks away he struck 2 cars and flipped. He then ran and hid in a nearby yard. When police arrived, he was found and taken into custody.

Two men in their late 20’s got into a physical altercation. During the fight, one man killed the other man. (The victim was transported and was pronounced dead at the hospital) It happened on the porch at a house at 2864 1st Avenue South.
The suspect got into a vehicle and fled the scene, only to crash a few blocks later in the 2500 block of 2nd Avenue South. He is in custody.
