Update: Victim Dies from November 22 Crash Injuries

Victim Jerry Dickens died today at Bayfront Health Hospital.

Incident: Serious Injury Crash

Location: 100 block of 3rd Street North

Date / Time of Incident: November 22nd, 2018 @ 0253 hours

Brief Description of Incident: A silver 2017 Hyundai Sonata, being driven by Joseph Fovara (W/M, 01/07/1963), was driving northbound on 3rd Street North. A pedestrian, Jerry Dickens (W/M, 05/28/1992), was crossing from east to west, mid block in the 100 block of 3rd Street North. Fovara failed to see Dickens crossing the roadway and struck him. Dickens was transported from the scene to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life threatening injuries.

Issuance of citations is pending further investigation.
