The Medical Examiner was able to identify the two bodies in the burned car.

Driver: Damari Milton, DOB 8-30-2000
Passenger: Dequante Lightsey, DOB 7-6-2002

This crash is still under investigation, but preliminary information indicates that at 3:23am a white 2016 Mazda Miata was westbound at a high rate of speed on 38th Ave North. As it was approaching 49th Street North, the driver lost control, swerved off the road and hit a tree. The car immediately caught fire. When police arrived the driver and passenger were burned beyond recognition.

Police determined the car was stolen hours earlier.

Identification of the two bodies is pending the medical examiner’s report.
